Your recipe database is a file named MacGourmet4Database.mgdatabase, and it’s located in ~/Documents, if you use the default location, or in the location you chose to create it the first time you ran the application.

As with ALL of the important files on your computer, t’s always a good idea to keep a backup of this file, ideally on a thumb drive, external hard drive, or another Mac in case your hard drive fails.
