How can I locate my Montage project files?

One way of locating your Montage files is to create a smart folder to pull up any file created in Montage. To do this, first go to the Finder's File menu, and select 'New Smart Folder.' In the window that comes up, you will need to set the criteria for the folder. In this case our goal is to find all files on the hard disk that has a file extension '.montage'. To accomplish this go to the + sign to the right of the save button and click it. Then you will need to set the criteria for what you want to search for. It is not included in the basic functions of Spotlight so we need to select other in the popup menu. In the window that becomes available, scroll down to 'file extension', click once on it then click OK in the lower right of the screen. Then type in '.montage' in the field that is available.

To save this for future use, go back up to the 'save' button in the top right of this window. Note the location of the saved folder; by default it will go into your home user folder's Library/Saved Searches (folder) but you can save it any location on your hard disk. You might prefer to save it to your Documents folder for easy access.
