Where is my MacJournal data stored?
The location of your MacJournal data file will depend on a couple of things.
In recent versions of MacJournal, you have been able to create and save MacJournal files in the location of your choosing. MacJournal creates a "default" data file called "MacJournal Data.mjdoc" which is stored in a folder wtihin your User Library folder. Some users choose to use this default filename and location, while some users decide to create a file with a specific name in a different location. So, in looking for a way to determine the location of your MacJournal data file, the answer to "where is my file" may be "wherever you saved it".
Again, MacJournal does create a default data file in a default location. The name of that default file and its location will depend on what version of MacJournal you are running.
Here is the list of default file names and locations for your MacJournal data, by version:
Pre-2.5: "MacJournal Journals.mjj", default location: ~/Library/Preferences
2.5–4.x: "MacJournal Data.macjournal", default location: ~/Library/Application Support/MacJournal
5.x-6.x: "MacJournal Data.mjdoc", default location: ~/Library/Application Support/MacJournal
