In the Mac App Store release of Persona, the list of Heroes does not appear in the Source List in Learn Mode. How can this be resolved?

Authors list

In copies of Persona purchased from the Mac App Store, no archetypes appear under the heading Heroes in the source list in Learn view mode:

The following archetypes should appear here:

  • The Man in Charge

  • The Rebel

  • The Playboy

  • The Companion

  • The Outsider

  • The Expert

  • The Action Figure

  • The Standard Bearer

This issue only affects copies of Persona purchased through the Mac App Store. It does not affect copies of Persona that were downloaded from anywhere other than the Mac App Store.

It should be possible to resolve this issue by following these steps:

  1. Make sure you have run Persona at least once. If you attempt to perform these steps before attempting to launch Persona for the first time, OS X will not launch Persona.

  2. Make sure Persona is not currently running.

  3. Download this file, named persona_mas_display_heroes.zip

  4. In Finder, double-click persona_mas_display_heroes.zip. This should produce a folder, named persona_mas_display_heroes

  5. Open the folder persona_mas_display_heroes.

  6. Within persona_mas_display_heroes, there should be two files: a folder, named Drop Heroes Here, and a file, named Heroes.plist

  7. Drag Heroes.plist and drop it onto Drop Heroes Here.

  8. If you are prompted for a Password, provide the appropriate password at the prompt.

After following these steps, the appropriate archetype names should appear under the Heroes heading in the Learn mode source list.
