The simplest way to locate a scene in the timeline view is to enter the scene's name, or a portion of the scene's name, in the search box in the toolbar at the bottom of the timeline view window.

You can also easily navigate around the timeline view by click-dragging from left to right, or using two fingers on newer trackpads to swipe left and right.

The navigation button in the toolbar also gives you options for navigating to the first scene or last scene in the timeline, or to zoom to a level where you can see all scenes.
