How to import recipes from The Recipe Manager

You can import recipes to MacGourmet Deluxe from The Recipe Manager when you export those recipes using the Plain Text File format.

Open The Recipe Manager and find the recipe you want to import to MacGourmet Deluxe and select it. Go to File>Export and select the To Plain Text File. Export the recipe and save it to a destination that you will remember. 

Launch MacGourmet Deluxe and go to File>Import and select TheRecipeManager from the Import drop down menu. Find the recipe you want to import and click the Import button. Your recipe will be imported and added to your collection of recipes in MacGourmet Deluxe.

Please note that since this is a text file, images are not exported. If you had images they will not be included in the export and consequently the import.

You can also add recipes to MacGourmet and MacGourmet Deluxe from The Recipe Manager using the Clipping feature of MacGourmet and MacGourmet Deluxe.

Launch The Recipe Manager select your recipe and go to File>Export and select To Clipboard. The recipe will be saved to your Clipboard. You can paste the recipe in TextEdit and using the Clipping feature, add the recipe to your collection. 

To use the Clipping feature, select the text, go to TextEdit>Services and select Clip Recipe from the Services menu. The recipe will be added to MacGourmet or MacGourmet Deluxe Clippings List.
