That's an excellent question! We believe that users should be informed before purchasing our product and invite everyone to look at what else is out there and make a thorough evaluation so that they are happy with Paperless. As for competition, we have found that there is no true competitor on the Mac to Paperless that focuses on receipts AND documents. This makes Paperless unique in that it does one thing and we believe it does it well. Others may see "document management" applications as competitors, but they really aren't. In fact, we use several of these applications ourselves and find that they just don't handle both receipts and documents well. One of these applications actually inspired some aspects of Paperless, but due to its very broad scope, it didn't handle receipts very well. Some of these applications are very well done and one is even free, but after trying to enter a few receipts into them, we believe that you'll find that they're just not suited for receipts.
